Do I Have To Explain Everything?

I should've capitalized the words above, but had enough control not to. But, do I really have to explain every detail of what I mean?

Maybe I do. Today, I just happened to get into a misunderstanding with two people all because of a joke that they didn't understand. It made them confused and it turned out to be a quarrel. What in the world? Where did that come from?

Alright. Maybe I was wrong. Maybe it was just really my fault. I was used to talking the way I did already and I see nothing wrong in it. The usual people that talk to me [usually in school, or my friends whom I usually only connect with through YM] understand the way I talk -- very very metaphorical or figurative. It's the way I talk usually during intellectual talks or the usual conversation with a friend. Of course, it doesn't go away without a follow explanation at the end anyway. I always tell people when or when what I say is or is not a joke at the end. Yeah. That's right. That is how corny I am. "Matalinhaga" is the tagalog word for it.

I didn't have any problem using figurative words since before because my friends usually [90%, I guess of the time] get what I'm saying. If they don't and they need an explanation, I expound on what I say. Or, I think that in reality, they don't really like or get the way I talk and they just can't tell me because they don't know how to and/or they're just trying to understand me [or adjusting]. Now, I guess I was wrong and I shouldn't be too comfortable with the way I speak... There has already been a number of people who showed futility all because they can't get to understand what I mean... :'(

My resolution is, right now, to change the way I talk. Maybe it's because I haven't really changed my approach to conversation, which I haven't really realized until recently. There are different ways of conversating with people and different types of conversation. Maybe this is just a wake up call. I hope it is for me to learn. :D
